Russia has allegedly provided Iran with a list of 55 critical Israeli energy targets, including production centers that, if destroyed, would cripple the national power grid. A source close to Ukrainian intelligence confirmed this coordination.
Ukraine has repeatedly stated that Russia has been assisting Iran since U.S.-Israeli operations began in Tehran on February 28.
In a Telegram post, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described how Russia has helped Iran “launch attacks” on civilian infrastructure without military purpose. He explicitly noted that these actions remind Ukrainians of the devastating impact of Russian bombings targeting power grids and water systems during their assaults.
Russia has acknowledged sharing intelligence with Iran but recently offered to halt such cooperation if the United States ceased providing intelligence about Russia to Ukraine. However, Russian officials have consistently denied providing intelligence to Iran.
The coordination reportedly involves strategic satellite imagery and drone technology that enable Iranian forces to target U.S. military assets and allies in the region. Intelligence sources indicate that even minor damage to key components of Israel’s energy infrastructure could trigger widespread blackouts and technical failures.
A former CIA analyst specializing in Iranian military capabilities stated that Russian-provided intelligence on specific aircraft models, munitions sites, air defense systems, and naval movements would be highly valuable for Iran.
Russia’s ambassador to Israel, Anatoly Viktorov, stated that Russia and Israel have maintained high-level security discussions. He added that Russian officials repeatedly deny allegations of providing intelligence to Iran.
