President Donald Trump’s commitment to senior citizens is highlighted in a new ad campaign from a conservative coalition.
Seniors Matter for America, a conservative coalition formed earlier this year to advance Trump’s “Seniors First Agenda,” launched a six-figure TV and digital ad buy Monday praising the president for delivering what the group calls “real, tangible results” for older Americans ahead of this year’s midterm elections.
The 30-second spot, titled “First,” highlights Trump’s efforts to eliminate taxes on Social Security benefits, secure a $6,000 tax deduction for seniors, lower healthcare costs, reduce prescription drug prices, and protect Medicare and Medicare Advantage.
“President Trump has done more to put seniors first than any president in recent memory,” former White House press secretary Sean Spicer, now a senior adviser to Seniors Matter for America, said in a statement.
“From fighting to end taxes on Social Security to protecting Medicare Advantage, he has delivered real, tangible results for the Americans who built this country.”
The campaign comes as Republicans increasingly focus on senior voters as a key bloc heading into the midterms.
The coalition released battleground polling earlier this year showing strong support among older Americans for Trump’s tax and healthcare agenda.
The ad features Trump declaring: “My administration is working every day to give our amazing senior citizens the care, support, and respect that you deserve.”
Trump reinforced that message earlier this month during an event at The Villages community in Florida, where he touted his administration’s tax cuts and healthcare reforms for seniors.
“So our great big, beautiful bill was the largest tax cut in American history,” Trump told supporters. “More than 51 million American seniors now pay a federal tax rate of zero.”
The president also vowed to continue protecting Medicare and Social Security while cracking down on fraud within entitlement programs.
“Under the Trump administration, we’re standing up for American seniors like no president has ever stood up before,” the president said. “Just as I promised, we’re strongly protecting Social Security and Medicare — and we always will.”
Trump additionally pointed to lower prescription drug costs, including expanded Medicare coverage for weight-loss drugs and reduced insulin prices, as evidence his administration is delivering meaningful relief to seniors on fixed incomes.
Democrats have criticized portions of Trump’s healthcare and tax agenda, arguing Republican policies could affect Medicaid funding and long-term entitlement spending.
But the White House and conservative allies have rejected those claims, insisting Trump’s reforms are designed to preserve benefits while eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse.
Seniors Matter for America argues the president’s policies are already improving affordability for retirees struggling after years of Biden-era inflation that Republicans say devastated Americans living on fixed incomes.
The coalition says the new ad campaign is only the beginning of a broader effort to mobilize senior voters behind Trump’s America First agenda ahead of next year’s elections.
