A Turning Point USA contributor and former Navy intelligence officer warned Sunday that left-wing rhetoric against President Donald Trump is fueling what he described as a growing “assassination culture.”
In a recent broadcast, Jack Posobiec detailed online posts allegedly connected to the suspect involved in a shooting incident near the White House perimeter on Saturday. He noted individuals accessed the suspect’s TikTok account and discovered posts mocking Thomas Matthew Crooks and the Butler shooting of President Trump for missing his shot.
“Unfortunately, what we see going on is a rise in this assassination culture,” Posobiec stated. “Individuals were able to go on this guy’s TikTok account last night and find that he had been posting about Thomas Matthew Crooks and the Butler shooting of President Trump, mocking him—the shooter in that case—for missing the shot, saying he would have done better.”
Posobiec linked Saturday’s incident to escalating political violence from far-left groups. “Whether or not this was an individual who had mental issues,” he added, “what it does is give people like this a target.”
He condemned left-wing rhetoric labeling President Trump as a Nazi or fascist for creating a systemic permission structure that enables further attacks. “When you see them going up on TV every night saying, President Trump is a Nazi, President Trump is a fascist,” Posobiec emphasized, “all of these things create a system and a permission structure again and again for more of these miscreants to commit attacks like this.”
Posobiec also addressed reports of an assassination plot involving Ivanka Trump and discussed ongoing negotiations with Iran. He expressed hope the administration could secure a historic agreement within 60 days, calling it “Nobel Peace Prize 2026 material” if successful.
