Cara Delevingne Unveils Secret Romance with Amber Heard and Harvey Weinstein’s Intimidating Warning

Model and actor Cara Delevingne has confirmed she was romantically involved with Amber Heard following Heard’s split from actor Johnny Depp.
Speaking on season seven of The Louis Theroux Podcast, which released its latest episode Monday in the U.S., Delevingne detailed the relationship speculation and industry intimidation that shaped her early career.
During the interview with the British broadcaster, Delevingne addressed long-standing rumors linking her to Heard during the actor’s high-profile split from Depp.
Commenting on reports that Depp was “driven crazy by the idea that Amber might be sleeping with you,” Delevingne clarified the timeline of their relationship.
“Am I meant to comment? It’s because we did a movie together, and it was called ‘London Fields,'” she said. “He was also doing the movie. I think he was pretty driven crazy by jealousy. Nothing was happening at that point. Later, after they divorced, it had, I suppose.”
When Theroux pushed for clarity on the situation, Delevingne confirmed the post-divorce relationship.
“We were close for a long time, and then when they were going through the divorce, yeah, we were entangled. … But she was also entangled with other people,” she explained.
When Theroux explicitly prompted, “Well, with Elon [Musk],” Delevingne replied, “There you go.”
Heard, who has not starred in a film since her highly publicized 2022 defamation trial against Depp, previously dated the SpaceX founder until early 2018 after separating from Depp in 2016.
Heard and Depp first went public as a couple in October 2011. They married in February 2015 and Heard filed for divorce in May 2016, with the legal split finalized that August through a $7 million settlement.
During the podcast interview, Delevingne also opened up about past pressure regarding her sexuality from disgraced film mogul Harvey Weinstein.
Delevingne recalled a warning Weinstein gave her early in her career.
“Harvey Weinstein called me up and said, ‘Are you gay?'” Delevingne told Theroux. “And I was like, ‘Um, what do you mean?’ And he was like, ‘You should never be in a relationship with a woman … You’ll never make it in the industry if people think you’re gay.'”
Delevingne said she “really believed him” and “really took that to heart.”
Despite that early industry pressure, she shared her pride in her identity as a lesbian and discussed her path toward public advocacy.
“Well, now I look back on it, it was super evident really young. I knew at, like, 11 years old. I had this one friend that I was like, ‘Oh, I think I care about her more than she likes me, and I don’t know how, but I do.’ It was obvious now, but then it really wasn’t, and I’m very proud of it now,” Delevingne stated.
“I think when I started talking about it and being open about it, I felt like there was a lot to fight for still at that point in terms of shows about gay people and people to look up to for younger kids,” she added.
