A representative from Novo Nordisk collapsed unexpectedly during President Donald Trump’s news conference on Thursday to announce the “most-favored nation” cost-cutting measures. Dr. Mehmet Oz rushed to assist Gordon Findlay, a company executive, as he fell.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed the incident, stating, “During the Most Favored Nations Oval Office Announcement, a representative with one of the companies fainted.” She added that the White House Medical Unit responded promptly and that the gentleman is “OK.” The press conference was temporarily paused before resuming.
Members of the press were quickly escorted out of the event. A voice on stage asked, “Are you OK?” while security personnel directed cameras to stop rolling.
