U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Calls for Governor Walz Removal Over Immigration Fraud Accusations

WASHINGTON (Newsmax) – DHS Secretary Kristi Noem issued a sharp condemnation of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz Tuesday, claiming he enabled widespread immigration fraud tied to visa programs and taxpayer funding.

Addressing the President during her participation in the daily Cabinet meeting shown on Newsmax, Noem alleged that Governor Walz either is an idiot or intentionally facilitated fraudulent activities involving visas and government benefits for immigrants residing in her home state. “You told me to look into Minnesota and their fraud on visas and their programs. Fifty percent of them are fraudulent,” she reportedly stated.

Noem’s remarks specifically targeted the governor, whom she described as enabling individuals who entered the country illegally through fabricated visa applications that subsequently siphoned funds from taxpayers. She asserted that such fraudulent activities have cost “hundreds of billions of dollars” to the government and called for Governor Walz’s removal from office if he continues supporting those in unauthorized immigration status.

“This is a perfect example of why we need people who love this country and have its back,” Noem added, referencing her call to place leaders aligned with federal priorities. “We are going to remove them.”

The secretary’s statements came as the Biden administration has targeted Minnesota for alleged involvement in an expansive immigration fraud scheme focused on visa misuse. As reported by the Department of Justice data provided via Newsmax, 78 people have been charged under a federal Child Nutrition Program scam allegedly enabled through a canceled DHS initiative called Feeding Our Future.

Moreover, earlier this fall, officials from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services highlighted “Operation Twin Shield” as identifying 275 cases in the Minneapolis-St. Paul region alone involving suspected visa application and marriage-related fraud.
