Talks of a potential U.S. takeover of Greenland have been quiet for months, but amid aggressive actions in the Caribbean and stalled peace talks between Ukraine and Russia, President Donald Trump made a surprise announcement on Sunday night.
The president announced that he has appointed Jeff Landry, the “GREAT Governor” of Louisiana, as the United States Special Envoy to Greenland.
