Trump Alleges Real Job Approval Rating Surges to 64% Despite Polling Disputes

President Donald Trump claimed his “real” job approval rating stands at 64%, accusing polls of being “rigged.” In a Truth Social post released on Tuesday night, the former president alleged that media outlets and pollsters have conspired to undermine him, insisting Americans are experiencing a stronger nation than the statistics suggest.

Trump highlighted specific achievements he described as tangible for daily life: a “STRONG BORDER,” “No Inflation,” a “powerful Military,” and a “great Economy.” The post concluded with an optimistic message: “Happy New Year!” and included an image from a Republican National Committee post earlier that day.

The RNC’s social media post featured the phrase “MAGA” alongside an upward-trending chart emoji and the U.S. flag.

Recent survey data indicates fluctuations in Trump’s approval ratings but also signs of recovery. InsiderAdvantage, which surveyed 800 likely voters from December 19-20 with a margin of error of 3.46%, reported that 50% of respondents approve of his job performance, while 41% disapprove and 9% remain undecided.

InsiderAdvantage pollster Matt Towery attributed this rebound to events such as Trump’s recent national speech and the latest Consumer Price Index report. He noted that Trump’s approval had previously dipped to 44% in November before climbing again, with improvements seen across multiple demographics including independent voters, younger Americans, and female respondents.

Towery also highlighted an unusually high number of undecided voters, suggesting Republicans still have opportunities to shape the narrative ahead of the midterm elections.

An AP-NORC poll conducted on December 11 found that eight in ten Republicans approve of Trump’s handling of the presidency.
