Charlotte’s Leadership Fails Citizens, Says DHS Official

Tricia McLaughlin, the Department of Homeland Security’s assistant secretary for public affairs, stated that Charlotte’s leadership has failed its citizens by protecting illegal aliens in the city. She mentioned that there are over 1,400 criminal illegal aliens in their jails, and they refuse to turn over those individuals to ICE law enforcement. This creates a revolving door of justice, with these criminals returning to Charlotte’s streets to commit more crime. She emphasized that these people pose real public security threats and that DHS is surging resources to make the city safer. If you obstruct justice, you can expect to be arrested and prosecuted. DHS was successful in raids in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles despite leftist activists there. She stated that the American people’s mandate allows them to enforce the rule of law and make America’s streets safer.
