California gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton sharply criticized Governor Gavin Newsom during a recent interview, condemning his administration as the worst in the country.
Hilton mocked Newsom for asserting that California was the model of government efficiency, stating, “It’s literally the worst in the country. The highest taxes for the worst outcomes anywhere of all 50 states.”
Speaking from the Central Valley, Hilton said the state is filled with bridges that go nowhere, has spent tons of money on combating homelessness yet continues to see more homeless people than ever before, and maintains a high-speed rail system that has built no tracks. He also noted that Newsom’s first budget included a $500 million pledge to modernize California’s antiquated 911 system, which was recently scrapped after failing to work.
Hilton added, “This guy wants to be president, and he can’t organize a phone line in seven years with half a billion dollars.” He concluded, “The level of lying and gaslighting we get from him now is just utterly pathological. Almost everything he says, he is doing the exact opposite of what he says.”
