Former Rep. Pete King criticized Democrats for failing to address antisemitism within their party, stating that consistent condemnation of bias is essential regardless of political affiliation. “Anytime there’s antisemitism, any bias within your party or your movement, it should be condemned,” the New York Republican said on Newsmax’s “Wake Up America Weekend.” However, he emphasized that “rampant antisemitism in the Democratic Party” must also be addressed. King cited examples including Rep. Ilhan Omar and the refusal of Kamala Harris to select Josh Shapiro as vice president due to his Jewish heritage, calling it “antisemitism anywhere.”

King also condemned New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, labeling him “anti-Israel, anti-American, and pro-Hamas” and linking him to figures tied to the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. He accused Mamdani of enabling Hamas-related riots in New York, declaring, “This man is wrong. He’s evil. He must be stopped.”

Former Georgia Rep. Jack Kingston echoed these sentiments, asserting that antisemitism is more prevalent among Democrats and the progressive left. He criticized figures like Omar and other “squad” members for targeting Jewish communities and opposing Benjamin Netanyahu. Kingston emphasized the GOP’s commitment to supporting Israel and rejecting antisemitic rhetoric, stating, “Standing firm with Israel… is very important to the Republican Party.”
