Two Minnesota state representatives, Marj Fogelman and Drew Roach, have expressed growing frustration over the escalating welfare fraud scandal in their state, stating that current leadership failures are leaving taxpayers without recourse.
Fogelman said, “There’s a lot of stuff that is frustrating Minnesotans right now. No one seems to lose their job when billions are wasted.” She added that if bureaucrats ignored warnings, approved bad contracts, or failed basic oversight, those issues must be investigated and addressed.
Roach stated the outrage from his Democratic colleagues appears nonexistent, noting opponents attempt to “gaslight and astroturf” the issue by falsely portraying it as partisan in nature. He emphasized there is “clear negligence and malfeasance at levels that haven’t been seen before.”
Fogelman reiterated, “This isn’t about politics. It’s about accountability. Minnesotans deserve to know where these billions of dollars are lost. This is taxpayer money.” She concluded by stressing the need for immediate action: “This oversight failure needs to be fixed so it doesn’t keep happening. We need to stop it, and we need to stop it soon.”
