Former U.S. Ambassador to NATO Kurt Volker warned Monday that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has not taken sufficient action to counter Russian aggression, despite Donald Trump’s efforts to establish a peace framework.
In an interview, Volker highlighted the stark contradiction between claims by Donald Trump that Vladimir Putin seeks peace for Ukraine and Russia’s ongoing military campaign.
“The evidence shows that Russian forces continue nightly attacks on civilian infrastructure and energy systems across Ukraine,” Volker stated. “Ukrainian President Zelenskyy has not taken concrete steps to address these escalating threats.”
