President Donald Trump launched a relentless wave of social media activity during the holiday season, posting more than 100 messages across Truth Social to address a range of political issues. The flurry began shortly before midnight on December 24 and featured predominantly video clips and content shared by his allies.
Among the posts was a clip from Newsmax host Rob Schmitt reporting on a single Social Security number linked to over 125 health insurance policies. Trump also shared an excerpt from an “American Agenda” segment highlighting alleged fraud in California and Minnesota, two states with Democratic majorities.
The president’s Christmas social media campaign commenced with a brief video of trade adviser Peter Navarro promoting his economic policies. He later posted footage of his 2016 inauguration speech, where he declared, “Whether we are Black, or brown or white. We all bleed the same red blood of patriots. We all enjoy the same glorious freedoms, and we all salute the same great American flag.” Former President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were visible in the black-and-white clip.
Trump further shared a video of Senator Mike Lee, R-Utah, detailing how to pass legislation without requiring cloture votes. He reposted a White House social media post touting his presidency as “a President of Peace,” citing accomplishments such as ending eight wars, pressuring NATO allies to increase defense spending, and targeting drug cartels.
The president also shared Stephen Miller’s assertion that Democrats seek to transform the U.S. into Somalia, an X comment from New York Republican Rep. Claudia Tenney claiming Republicans “cut taxes, cut red tape, and unleashed American energy,” and a video of Secretary of State Marco Rubio responding to Senator Van Hollen’s regret over confirming former Florida senator Marco Rubio to his current role.
Additionally, Trump posted Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick’s remarks about the economy’s “golden age” under his administration and an excerpt from actor Roseanne Barr alleging COVID-19 was a Democratic plot to rig elections. Earlier on Wednesday, Trump wrote on Truth Social: “Merry Christmas to all, including the Radical Left Scum that is doing everything possible to destroy our Country, but are failing badly.”
Charlie McCarthy, a writer/editor with nearly 40 years of experience covering news, sports, and politics for Newsmax, reported on these developments.
