America’s Economic Triumph Under Trump: A Year of Unprecedented Prosperity

It has become clear that many Americans are in a state of pessimism, as reflected in recent public opinion polls. This contrast starkly with the nation’s current peace and prosperity, including record household incomes and increased wealth across all demographic groups. The median U.S. household income reached an unprecedented $86,000 annually in 2025—a historic high—and every ethnic group has seen rising living standards. Hispanics now have a median household income exceeding $70,000, a level that would be considered affluent in most countries where they or their ancestors originated.

This economic upswing accelerated in the past year, with incomes growing nearly twice as fast as inflation. The surge was driven by significant changes at the federal level following President Donald Trump’s election victory, whose policies across economic, educational, energy, and environmental sectors have demonstrably improved national outcomes. Key achievements include a $1,250 increase in median family income after inflation, rising incomes for the bottom 25% of earners, and an average gain of $21,000 in retirement accounts for families. Over one million additional families now benefit from education savings accounts, millions receive tax relief on tips and overtime starting January 1, 2026, and the federal budget deficit has decreased by approximately 2.5% year-over-year.

Crime rates have declined significantly: gun assaults dropped 21%, aggravated assaults fell 10%, sexual assaults decreased by 10%, and carjackings plunged 24% compared to previous administrations. Illegal immigration has plummeted by 92% from peak levels under the prior administration, while energy production reached historic highs. Gas prices have fallen from nearly $5 per gallon to $2.89—a marked improvement over recent years—and hundreds of federal regulations were eliminated, including racial quotas in hiring and mandates for electric vehicle purchases.

Despite these accomplishments, challenges persist—including a flawed healthcare system and declining public school test scores. Yet the data suggests that under President Trump’s leadership, America has achieved one of its most prosperous periods since its founding. Young Americans remain disproportionately gloomy about their future, unaware of the unprecedented economic opportunities available to them today.
