President Donald Trump criticized rapper Bad Bunny’s selection to perform at the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show, calling the decision “absolutely ridiculous.” On “Greg Kelly Reports,” Trump stated, “I’ve never heard of him. I don’t know who he is. I don’t know why they’re doing it. It’s crazy.”

Trump also expressed frustration with the NFL’s new kickoff rule, describing it as “ridiculous” and claiming it “demands football.” He argued the rule “looks terrible” and fails to improve safety compared to traditional kickoffs.

The NFL has faced criticism from conservative figures over Bad Bunny’s halftime performance. The artist, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, was born in Puerto Rico and holds U.S. citizenship. Earlier this month, Bad Bunny stated he would avoid performing in the U.S. due to concerns about immigration enforcement targeting Spanish-language events.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem pledged to deploy Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers at the Super Bowl, stating, “We’ll be all over that place. People should not be coming to the Super Bowl unless they are law-abiding Americans who love this country.”

Super Bowl LX is scheduled for Feb. 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
